Evolving Treatment Paradigms in Merkel Cell Carcinoma
Time: 19:00 - 22:00
Date: Tuesday 12th November 2019
Description: Australia has the highest rates of Merkel Cell Carcinoma (MCC) in the world, with approximately twice as many cases as the US, and four times as many as Europe. MCC is the second most common cause of skin cancer death after melanoma. Currently, median survival rates in metastatic MCC are less than 12 months, however new treatment advances with immunotherapy are providing patients with improved clinical outcomes.
