Dr Ada Cheung

Ada Cheung (MBBS(Hons) FRACP PhD DipBus(Gov)) is an Endocrinologist at Austin Health, Victoria, and an NHMRC research fellow at The University of Melbourne with clinical and research interests in the role of testosterone and estradiol on body composition. Her research aims to improve health outcomes of two main groups; men with prostate cancer undergoing androgen deprivation therapy and trans and gender diverse people. She has won a number of national and international awards for her research studying strategies to mitigate the adverse muscle and bone effects of androgen deprivation therapy including the only Australian to win a US Endocrine Society Early Investigator Award, a Viertel Clinical Investigator Award, RACP Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation Fellowship, and was recently a finalist in the 2018 Victorian Premiers Award for Health and Medical Research.
